Gary Brady’s Road to Success: In it for the long haul!

From the young age of 13, Gary Brady held a long list of jobs while quickly realizing he didn’t enjoy working for someone else. Deciding to set out on his own, he became a truck driver for more than 12 years. Then, on a day like any other; things changed when he was presented with an opportunity to join a direct sales company. Ready for a new opportunity he made the decision to go for it. Unfortunately, it nearly cost him everything.
Having been burned once before, he was slightly guarded when Ruth and Jeff Elliott introduced him to Vemma. Thankfully, he was open-minded enough to give it a chance. Gary recalls, “Ruth’s been with Vemma from the beginning. I knew she and Jeff believed in it. It felt like Vemma was something I needed to be doing.” So he quickly went to work with the goal of making enough money to save his home and improve his financial outlook.

Vemma turned out to be the right decision and a good fit for Gary. In his first 10 days of business he recruited 30 people onto his team. His philosophy has always been: “Your income will be a direct reflection of the number of people you are willing to help personally succeed.” Gary always puts others first. He focuses on his team members’ goals, instead of setting goals for himself. His own team reflects the truth of this; Gary has celebrated the promotion of 10 Gold Leaders in the past six months.

As part of Vemma’s Go for the Gold program, Gary has identified 15 Brand Partners he is excited to work with specifically to reach the rank of Gold and achieve the Go for the Gold Weekend Summit in Phoenix, Arizona. “I look at my team, find out their goals and make them my goals,” Gary says. “I’ve learned that if I help other people reach their goals, my business will take care of itself.” At the beginning of this year Gary created a simple, six-step system that’s easy to implement, and just as simple for his team to duplicate.

1. Choose teammates wisely. Identify potential Brand Partners by their desire to positively impact the lives of others through health, financial well-being, or both. Choose people you like to be around and would enjoy working with!

2. Make coaching a priority. Schedule a personal coaching session with your Brand Partners on a weekly basis, or more often if needed.

3.Support your team. Be available to help share the Vemma story through 3-way calls, one-on-one meetings, home events, etc. The venue is not important; personal connection is the key. As a leader, it is very important to be consistently accessible and dependable.

4. Stay actively involved in the business. Take an active role in all of your Brand Partners’ businesses. Continuously monitor and analyze growth. (Back Office Pro is essential for this activity.)

5. Communicate often. Conduct team calls on a weekly basis to help people stay motivated and connected, and to celebrate success.

6.Keep growing as a leader. This is the most important step, and it’s at the heart of Gary’s success. His motto is, “Your business should never outgrow you as a person.”

Gary’s team began a monthly book club. Together, they read personal development and positive thinking books, then discuss them. He also recommends listening to 15 minutes a day of a positive or motivational audio training.

Six days a week, Gary shares Vemma with others. Each day, he has the same goal; to help change people’s lives. “I want to make sure I help as many people as I possibly can, because I know what it’s like to struggle financially,” he says.

Gary’s goal is to schedule a minimum of three one-on-one meetings, three conference calls and three home events a week. The rest of his time is spent being available for his team when they need him … except for Sundays.

On Sundays, Gary doesn’t answer the phone. After years of hard work, he is now enjoying the benefit of being his own boss. Gary enjoys time with his family, reading his Bible, working out and traveling to exotic locations. Although from a material standpoint his life looks much the same, time and financial freedom have made all the difference in the world.

Gary’s 3 tips for building a successful Vemma business:
• Follow Jim Rohn’s philosophy: “Work harder on yourself than you do on your business.”
• Don’t quit! You are only one person away from an explosion.
• Find a mentor who has achieved the success in Vemma you want to achieve, and do everything they coach you to do with all your heart. No one can teach you to achieve something he hasn’t achieved himself. Be careful where you get your advice.

*Results not typical, your results may vary. The success or failure of each individual is dependent on their own efforts. The Company has generally expected results which can be obtained by visiting http://VemmaToday.com
