Fashioning a Business: Noelle Rapisarda

Fashioning a Business: Noelle Rapisarda

Noelle Rapisarda

Noelle Rapisarda has always been a trendsetter. With a love of fashion, cutting-edge style, and a good head for business, she was intrigued with Vemma after reading a Facebook post from her good friend Jovana Stewart. “Jovana said you could work with your friends, create your own hours, and make good money based on your efforts. It was perfect timing for me to look into the opportunity, as I had just moved back from New York and was looking for a job.”

Taking the Untraveled Path

Noelle’s career experiences in the corporate world had left her dissatisfied and open to new options. “The financial opportunity with Vemma sparked my interest. The whole deal only got sweeter when I tried Verve for the first time and loved it!” To the chagrin of her corporate-minded friends and family, Noelle started a Vemma business. “At my first meeting, I could tell I’d ‘struck gold,’ but there were many people in my life who doubted the industry and were not supportive of me when I first started. It was hard for me to go against so many people and defend myself. Looking back, I have grown so much from the day I first started — not just financially, but how I view myself, and what I know I’m capable of.* I always knew I was a strong person, but you find out just how strong you are when you are challenged by people close to you.”

Getting a Firm “Why”

Noelle is motivated to help people find fulfillment in their lives. “I have seen too many people suffer financially and feel stuck and hopeless in a dead-end job. When I first heard about Vemma, I had this gut instinct that there was something bigger in life waiting for me and this opportunity was my vehicle to get there (and to stay out of corporate!). I think once you develop such a passion for something, it becomes contagious. What motivates me with Vemma is the thought of never having to go work a corporate job again or answer to anyone. I also want to create a stable income for my future family — I want to be able to have the luxury of staying home with my children someday. I love being able to help people build out their Vemma business and quit their other job.* The feeling of knowing that you are impacting people’s lives is powerful — nothing compares to the appreciation you feel from them and their family.”

Looking Ahead

At 23, Noelle is building a bright future and has learned the strength that comes from forging your own path in life. “Many of my friends and family who criticized me in the beginning have taken the time to thank me for introducing them to the products and opportunity. Some have seen amazing health benefits with the products. And at the end of the day, that makes all the struggles and hardships worth it!” Noelle has an ever-growing team spread across the U.S., an incredible work ethic, and is laser-focused on her goals. “My favorite quote is this: ‘Many who started with you may not finish with you — GO ANYWAY.’ You cannot be influenced by other people or their decisions — stay positive, stay plugged in, stay excited, and mainly … dream big! I want to be able to travel around the world growing my team and spreading the word about the company. I would also love to own my own clothing boutique one day, as fashion has always been a deep passion of mine. It is something that I have always dreamed of doing and Vemma is helping me get one step closer to that dream every day!”

Vemma Verve YPR Revolution (Spoken Word)

YPR Spoken Word: Alisha Brown

Alisha Brown

As a D1 Track athlete running two sports at the University of California, Riverside, Vemma Brand Partner Alisha Brown has a demanding schedule. “I’m running twice a day (70-75 miles a week), lifting weights, and taking a full load of classes, so I’ve got a lot going on. Since I run two sports I don’t have an off-season. That’s what’s so great about this business — Vemma works with my schedule,” she says. Alisha hit Diamond by her fourth month in Vemma and went Platinum at month six. No matter how busy she gets, Alisha always takes the time to visualize each victory before she achieves it. “Long before I ranked Platinum, I would imagine I could see my app telling me I’d hit it. So when I woke up one morning and I’d cycled to Platinum, it was like I’d already seen it. Although,” she laughs, “I did turn off the app and turn it back on again, just to make sure, before I really started to celebrate.”*

Keeping an open mind

At the first home event Alisha attended, Jed Buenaluz explained the business and she put aside skepticism to really listen to what he was saying. “It all made sense,” she says, “so I took some money I’d planned to use on a new guitar and started a business that night. Then I got to work and every night, I did an event or a Skype meeting.” When things got tough, Alisha kept going. “There were a few months when I was stuck, but my leaders had told me it could happen and that things would work out if I kept going.” Like many runners, Alisha has a lot of perseverance. “Did Not Finish” is not an option. “My leaders were right, and I got past a tough spot in my business and it started really growing again. I’m excited because this summer, I don’t have to go find a summer job! My scholarship doesn’t pay for summer living expenses so last summer I worked at a trampoline party place that drove me crazy. But this summer, I’ve got Vemma!”

Motivating the team

“It’s crazy seeing how many lives you can change with Vemma,” Alisha says. “Getting to know people’s stories is so important… learning what their dreams are and how you can help them. I’ve found that money alone isn’t enough to keep you motivated in this business. You need some solid dreams and you need to be able to visualize what it’ll be like to have achieved them. I’m a musician and someday, I want to own a club — a cozy romantic spot where you take a date — where I can sing and play my guitar a few evenings a week. Making money in the music industry is really hard, so that’s where Vemma will help me. I also want to retire my mom, help impoverished children, and fund missionary work.” Fast becoming a MVP on the YPR team, Alisha encourages Brand Partners everywhere to be that inspiration for others and keep dreaming.
Success tips from Alisha
  • Stay excited and stay motivated
  • Know what your dreams are. Know you can achieve them.
  • Be persistent.
  • Keep your priorities in mind.
  • Pay attention to speakers — there’s always something you can learn from them, whether it’s their message, their speaking style, or their body language.
  • Visualize your dreams before you achieve them.
  • Get to know your team and get to know what they want so you can help them reach their personal best.
